Music at Manoa and Ohana Arts Festival presents “Rendez-vous à Paris, a celebration of French art song and vocal chamber music, featuring performances by the Momenta String Quartet, Assistant Professor of Piano Jonathan Korth, Associate Professor of Voice and mezzo-soprano Maya Hoover, soprano Rachel Schutz, and mezzo-soprano and associate artistic director of Ohana Arts, Laurie Rubin. Works include Chausson’s “Chanson Perpetuelle” for piano quintet and mezzo-soprano, Faure’s “La Bonne Chanson” for piano quintet and soprano, as well as songs by Bizet, Gounod, Poulenc, and others.

Hawaii Public Radio and Ohana Arts presents the Momenta Quartet in concert. Works include Cergio Prudencio’s Transfiguraciones (2006) (written for Momenta), Chausson’s “Chanson Perpetuelle” for piano, string quartet and mezzo-soprano with pianist Djordje Nesic and mezzo-soprano Laurie Rubin, and Philip Glass’s String Quartet no. 5 (1991).
